Fajr:

Question: When does the time for Fajr Salaah Begin and when does it end?

Answer: Begins at Subh Sadiq (Early Dawn) and ends a little before Sunrise.

 

Zohr:

Question: When does the time for Zohr Salaah begin and when does it end?

Answer: Begins after Zawaal (past Noon) and ends at the time that the shadow of any object becomes twice the length of the object plus the original shadow that was there at Mid-day (Zawaal).

 

Asr:

Question: When does the time for Asr Salaah begin and when does it end?

Answer: It begins when Zohr time finishes and ends a little before Sunset. To delay the Asr Salaah until the colour of the sun has turned pale (yellow) is Makrooh.

 

Maghrib:

Question: What is the time for Maghrib Salaah?

Answer: From the sunset up to the time the redness fades on the horizon.

 

Esha:

Question: When does Esha time begin?

Answer: Esha time begins after the redness on the horizon disappears (about an hour and half after sunset) and lasts up to a little before Subh Sadiq (dawn). It is Mustahab (preferable) to read Esha Salaah before 1/3 of the night has passed. It is Makrooh to delay Esha Salaah until after Midnight.
