What is AZAAN (CALL TO PRAYER)?

AZAAN (Call to Prayer)

  1. AZAAN means to inform, but in Shariat AZAAN means to inform of a particular Salaah in particular wordings.
  2. The AZAAN for every Farz Salaah should be called out in its prescribed time.
  3. If it Is called before the time then it must be called again at the right time.
  4. AZAAN is SUNNAT only for the five FARZ SALAAH and for JUMUAH SALAAH.
  5. AZAAN is not required for any other Salaah.
